Pacific Rim is coming

As seen in it's predictably epic style, the Japanese flavour laced throughout Guillermo Del Toro’s much anticipated blockbuster, Pacific Rim, is really getting fans talking. Telling the exciting and totally insane story of Kaijus (giant Japanese movie monsters) vs giant robots, and featuring a first rate cast of eclectic stars, the trailer has been raising pulses!

In this story; when legions of monstrous Kaiju started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju.

On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes – a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) – who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Showcasing Guillermo Del Toro's immense vision and scope alongside stunning CGI, the film looks hugely impressive and will no doubt please fans of both Western blockbusters and Japanese sci-fi and horror. Fellow fans of the great TV series, Sons of Anarchy, will also look forward to seeing series leads, Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman, reunited on the big screen! This is certainly one to watch out for.
