From Life of Action II…
Born in Kentucky, USA in 1961, Jerry Trimble is an accomplished, multi-talented martial artist, actor, stunt performer and youth speaker who has carved a diverse career. Enduring a tough upbringing, a visit to his local cinema changed his course in life as he saw Bruce Lee for the very first time. Inspired to practise martial arts every day, he would go on to become a Kickboxing World Champion and has officially been recorded as one of the fastest kickers in the world [118mph]. After dominating the competition circuit, he set his sights on a new career in movies.
Initially hired for his physical talents, he starred in fight-orientated films like Jet Li’s The Master, Breathing Fire and Full Contact, before realising a dream playing opposite Hollywood legends Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in crime classic Heat. With acting, stunt work and sharing a Taurus World Stunt Award nomination for Charlie’s Angels in 2001, he remains highly visible on screen.
Most recently, he has channelled his own life experiences into a new cause, and it’s the one he finds most fulfilling. As a youth speaker, Jerry encourages young people to overcome bullies, anxieties, obstacles and reach their goals. In fact, he now identifies this work as his main purpose in life. Rising above his own early struggles, his life journey and career has been remarkable by any standard. Finding outlets through sports and acting, to trading strikes with Jet Li and sharing moments on set with Al Pacino, Jerry’s story shows the impact of hard work and positive thinking.
