Michael Jai White exclusives teased in Life of Action II
Further teasing my upcoming, second Life of Action book, I posted an unseen, exclusive still on Facebook of action star Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite, Spawn), who features in the book, as seen in his underrated crime thriller, Making a Killing. Continuing the trend of the first book, the new book will include many exclusive stills and behind-the-scenes images, as well as new interviews with never-before-heard stories.
Stepping out of his established action arena into a purely dramatic role, Making a Killing is a different style of crime movie. In the film, based on a true story. three morticians get caught in a web of greed and deceit, involving buried treasure and a tangled love affair. Alongside White, the film features a top cast including Mike Starr (Miller’s Crossing), Sally Kirkland (JFK) and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future trilogy).
The above photo is by Abbey Koshak and the film’s director is Devin Hume. MJW is currently busy filming his passion project The Outlaw Johnny Black and has just been announced with a new honorary title as The Black Dragon. Former title holder, five-time karate and kung-fu champion Ron “The Black Dragon” Van Clief passed the mantle to White during a ceremony at the Urban Action Showcase. Van Clief was given the moniker by The Dragon, Bruce Lee.
Making a Killing is available now in North America on DVD and Digital.
The book, Life of Action II, is coming soon.
