Skin Trade cast revealed

Following some enticing stills and behind the scenes shots from the set of new action/thriller, Skin Trade, fans have been quick to respond and the anticipation is already building. Filming is well underway in Thailand and the production now boats a cast which, frankly, is nothing short of insane.

The film will star Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Ron Perlman, Michael Jai White, Celina Jade, Peter Weller, Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa and “another major star”, who has not yet been revealed. It's an impressive lineup by any standard and, with a team like this on board, the recipe is already getting fans salivating. From my point of view it's worth noting the varying styles and types of actor and action star involved in the project. Dolph has never been afraid to tackle interesting, dramatic characters while still immersing himself fully in the action. Tony is best remembered in full, knees and elbows blazing Ong Bak mode and the movie stills already suggest the action will be frenetic and full bloodied - as if there was ever any doubt. Michael Jai White adds to the roster of dependable, solid action stars with great physicality. You've then got grizzled character actors like Ron Perlman and Peter Weller no doubt adding scope and depth to the drama. It's a great mix and, as a collective, it sounds like something very unique.

According to the story: after his family is killed by a corrupt Serbian crime boss, NYC detective Nick goes to Bangkok and teams up with a Thai detective to get revenge and to expose the mafia's human trafficking ring.
