Filming Wrapped on The Thompsons

I recently finished work as assistant fight choreographer on the forthcoming horror sequel, The Thompsons. The film is directed by The Butcher Brothers and follows the After Dark Horrorfest hit, The Hamiltons, which was released back in 2006 and did very well!

Once again I had the opportunity to work with my friend, Mark Strange, who is well known as an actor and producer but also works as a fight choreographer, having collaborated with some great names in action, including David Forman (Batman Begins, The Last Samurai) and Donnie Yen (Ip Man, SPL). It was a really enjoyable experience and the whole team were very fun to work with. It was also great to make some new friends on-set, plus see familiar faces from World of the Dead: The Zombie Diaries, which I'd worked on the year before. Although obviously not a wall-to-wall action piece, the fight scenes we put together were gritty and straight to the point, which was consistent with the style of the film, so hopefully the results will be positive!

The film is currently in post-production and will be released in 2012.
