Hong Kong movie fans everywhere will know that Jack Kao is the official, certified, go-to-guy for Taiwanese gangsters! Being a very talented actor and despite occasionally venturing into subtle, easy-going character roles, he is still best known for playing quietly menacing villains battling the toughest criminal counterparts from Hong Kong. Born in 1958 in Taiwan, Jack Kao began his film career in the late 1980s predominantly appearing in projects by acclaimed ‘New Wave’ director, Hou Hsiao-Hsien.
